FAQ

Who must have implemented OHS and FP pursuant to legislation?

It is the employer’s obligation to provide OHS and FP training for all employees under Act No. 124/2006 Coll. on health and safety at work and on the amendments to certain acts. All employees, short-term employees as well as part-time employees must participate in the statutory training in the field of occupational health and safety as of the first day of employment.

The employer is obliged to provide every such training at its own expense. This relates to all employers, even if they have just one employee or short-term employee. Even in case they employ themselves.

How often must be the training repeated?

The employer is obliged to provide training for every employee immediately upon start of employment. The training must be periodically repeated at least once per three years, unless the legal regulations governing the safeguarding of occupational health and safety lay down a shorter interval. In certain cases, such as acquainting with the work at height and over free depth, an employee must be retrained once per 12 months.

Which law governs the OHS?

Act No. 124/2006 Coll. on health and safety at work and on the amendments to certain acts.
